What is Fruity Friday?
Fruity Friday is an annual fundraising and awareness campaign, organised by World Cancer Research Fund
(WCRF UK), which is on 17 May 2013.
It's easy: simply wear yellow, go bananas and donate £2!
So, get involved in Fruity Friday, have fun, get healthy and help WCRF UK continue its vital cancer prevention research and education work.
When is Fruity Friday?

What is Cancer Prevention Week?
Cancer Prevention Week, the annual awareness and fundraising week organised by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK), promotes the message that cancer is a largely preventable disease.
During the week, WCRF UK holds fundraising events and raises awareness that about a third of the most common cancers could be prevented by:

Yes, thank you for your support. You can make an online donation or call us on 0800 970 1461 to donate over the phone.
I have not received a fundraising pack, can I still take part?
Yes, of course. You can download all of the pack materials, plus exclusive online only campaign materials by going to our downloads page.
I can’t find the bank giro that was in the pack I received. Please could I have another one?
Yes, please email fruityfriday@wcrf.org, or call 0800 970 1461 with your details and we will send you a replacement.
How else can I pay in the money I have raised?
You can make an online donation, call us on 0800 970 1461 to make a payment over the phone, or you can send a cheque, made payable to 'World Cancer Research Fund' to the following address:

What is Gift Aid?
Under the Government's Gift Aid Scheme, if you are a UK taxpayer WCRF UK will receive an extra quarter on all donations you make. The scheme, set up in April 2000, means that if you are a UK taxpayer any donation you make to WCRF UK upon which tax has been paid can be worth more to us. For example, if you give £10 to WCRF UK and Gift Aid your donation, we will receive £2.50 from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to you. If you would like to make a Gift Aid Declaration, please contact our Supporter Services team on Freephone 0800 970 1461.
Can I receive a certificate to show how much I have raised?
Yes, of course. Please email us at fruityfriday@wcrf.org or call us on 0800 970 1461. Let us know who you would like the certificate made out to, and you will receive a thank you certificate and letter.
How can my employer support Fruity Friday?
Many companies will help charities through a matched giving scheme. Some will match pound for pound, and others will even double match donations made to registered charities by its employees. Don't forget to check out our fun suggestions for how you can get involved in Fruity Friday at your workplace. If you are making a donation to Fruity Friday, please check with your Payroll or HR department whether your company operates a scheme like this as it could make your donation worth even more to us.
